Just watched Polite Society. So fun. A British Pakistani teen girl kung fu action film.

I really loved the look into the violence of womanhood (from teen perspective).

Plus there is kung fu, a dance number, disguises, tonnes of women swearing, Pakistani wedding clothes and stylised Auntie on teen violence.

And my favourite lines, "your Dad's a slag, your Mum's a slag and your cat is a slag!".

Silly, yes. But it only seems sillier than every other heist movie if you think teen girls are inherently sillier than adult men pretending to growl at each other.
