I just realized something pretty nifty. The way I arranged these four genres, it's sort of a spectrum of the major power to be wielded: engineering (#dieselpunk), hacking (#cyberpunk), mind control (#dreampunk), and magic (#raypunk).
Of course, the "magic" might just be really advanced engineering, and the mind control might amount to a combination of engineering and hacking, or it could come from magic... These genres can certainly overlap, but still a pretty handy lens to view things through.
Which type of fiction would you be most interested in reading? (And I do mean reading, not just watching.)
