Se acabaron las vacaciones. Hora de descargarse las fotos de la cámara para llevar un poco la depresión del momento.

Para esta tarea soy adicto a #rapidphotodownloader. Lo podría hacer directamente con #digikam o #darktable, pero mi cabeza ya se ha acostumbrado a esta pequeña aplicación y me resulta la forma más sencilla y simple de llevar las fotos a mi sistema actual con #Fedora #Kinoite.

Lost and Found

During achieving photos using Rapid Photo Downloaded in Linux Mint, I lost many folders containing thousands of photos from an external hard disk and am still recovering them.

My hard lesson: allow extra time to complete writing process, and always remove external hard drives, jump drives and SD cards safely. Do not yank them out based on seeing that transfer completed in the file explorer. Exfat format seems to be more vulnerable than NTFS.

Import vom iPhone per #RapidPhotoDownloader - könnte so schön sein, da dieses Programm super einfach Bilder nach meinem Geschmack umbenennt. Aber es stürzt jedesmal ab. Import von Speicherkarte der Kamera (Fuji) läuft einwandfrei. Sehr schade!

Just 35 raw images (Canon 5DMKII) from a Sandisk Extreme CF 60MB/s UDMA.

#Darktable DL'ed them not exactly fast, but a lot faster.

I just tried #RapidPhotoDownloader, and I like it.
It does one thing, which is copying Photos/videos from your Camera/card reader to the local machine, fast and well.
Quick thumbnails, filtering (including a timeline, and grouping pictures taken shortly after one another) renaming/folder structure specification, customizable to match whatever pattern you've been using the last 15-odd years.

Be nice if I could tag pictures too but this is fine.
