It is absurd that in California, the most solidly Democratic state in the union, the "jungle primary" might literally exclude all the Democratic candidates from the general election.
Every state should have closed primaries and ranked choice voting, so all the parties---including minor parties---have a fair chance to nominate the candidate that represents them.

RCV? We've got a plan.
Join our statewide meeting on 4/12 from 1-2pm on Zoom for the grand unveiling of our new STRATEGIC PLAN to bring ranked choice voting to Illinois.

Having only two candidates make it to the general election is the problem. Make it five and then use #RankedChoiceVoting to decide among them.
"Dems rage over Fetterman's DHS vote"
our #duopoly is so dumb. there's a good chance that lots of seats wouldn't be Dem or GOP if not for the candidate with views outside the party norm that could win there. but maybe that's bullshit. we know these complaints will never end and neither will the dumb political media conversation until "weird" candidates are no longer forced to choose a side (with all the baggage that entails) to have a chance to represent their constituents.

I just stumbled on @FairVoteIL last night. Awesome to see them here. #RankedChoiceVoting
I'll just be satisfied that I didn't waste too much life energy trying to persuade a bunch of nincumpoop legislative apparatus that ....
there is no 'democracy' without
#RankedChoiceVoting and #ProportionalRepresentation and
#PublicBanking
It's not like they haven't been told already by voices more authoritative than mine.
