"Explore the Roots & Branches of Country Music" by Ken Burns on PBS

<<Country music wasn’t called that yet, but it was music of the country. It was a combination of the Irish; the recently freed slaves, bringing the banjo into the world; the Spanish effects of the vaqueros down in Texas; the Germans bringing over the “oom-pah” of polka music, all converging. >>

Explore the Roots & Branches of Country Music | Country Music | Ken Burns | PBS

Country music is not–and never was–one style of music. It has always been a mixture of many styles, springing from many roots and sprouting many new branches to create a complicated chorus of American voices, joining together to tell a complicated American story, one song at a time. Learn more.

OK, gonna boost some past #ElCamino photo encounters (and a couple Ford #Ranchero bonus shots).
Speaking of #ClassicCars, this 1966 #Ford #Falcon #Ranchero was left junked on a farm in the #Catskills, #NewYork. I don’t think it’s going anywhere soon.

I came across this weathered 1959 #Ford #Ranchero on a walk in the #InnerRichmond in #SanFrancisco. As much as I wanted to love it, it’s honestly an awkward and disproportional mashup of its predecessors and the low-slung early 1960s generation of #ClassicCars.

Edsel Ranchero

This beautiful 1958 Edsel Ranchero was sighted at a local car show. Based on the information received, there are only two of these left in the United States.
The car is a beautiful two tone, white and brown and has been immaculately restored. This took best of show honors.
The Edsel was known for it's horse collar grill as is prominent in the above image.
