There are certain people that when you see them out at shows, you know you're in the right place. Some of em you know who they are and some are just randoms you see on the reg.

Back in the late 90's/early 00's there was this dude you'd see out from time to time and you just KNEW you decided correctly. Don't see that guy out as much anymore, but was happy to see him here at #ragaslivefest this afternoon.

Of course, in this case, that guy I'm referring to is David Byrne.

Made it until about 5, home to sleep for a bit, and now back at Pioneer Works for Ragas Live part II. Hope I didn't miss anything too good.

This really is such a killer event. Next year might try for the duration.

This guy, U. Rajesh, just played a ridiculous *mindblowing* set on what they called "electric mandolin." Not everyday you get your brain crushed by amazing music at 3 in the morning.

Short stop at home to charge the phone a little and then a late night CitiBike to Red Hook...

One of the cooler livemusic happenings I know of is Ragas Live: 24 hours straight of ragas and the raga-inspired. The middle-of-the-night scene here is wild. Like a sleepover party for drone-loving music nerds.

We'll see how long I last.
