Les cours dans 1 700 écoles de l'État du Paraná, au sud du Brésil, commencent par un rituel : l'enseignant ouvre une application, photographie la salle de classe et en quelques secondes, un algorithme compare les visages avec une base de données biométrique. Celui qui est reconnu est considéré comme présent. Depuis 2023, cette reconnaissance faciale est utilisée au Paraná pour identifier près d'un million d'enfants par jour.'
