Making progress with the #synchronet system. Got #qwk downloads working along with #syncterm as well. Now just have to get use to how #multimail works as the mail reader.

Has anyone made an offline reader for Mastodon? Something that can create whatever is the 2020s equivelent of a #BlueWave, #QWK or #SOUP package? Or perhaps present a Mastodon over #NNTP?

Update on the #BBS in progress:

Not much progress these past days, but I've got it configured with #QWK networking, and joined up with DOVE-net now.

I started drawing a login #ANSI, but nothing to share yet.

@downey Yes indeed! It used uqwk to pack up #QWK packets. uqwk is longer in #Debian, but multimail, a QWK reader, is.

Random fact: both of those tools support SOUP, the Simple Offline #Usenet Packet! Now there's something I had completely forgotten.
