Samsung Quick Share update contains the One UI 8.5 design
An update to Samsung Quick Share was released to hold version 13.8.51.58 for the main application. Alongside that, two separate Quick Share components, Quick Share Agent and Quick Share Connectivity, were updated to versions 3.5.22.24 and 1.5.13.15, respectively. This update was said to expand AirDrop support for some of the older Galaxy devices, but it’s either not working properly yet or not present in the settings. This update eliminates the huge overhead that Samsung users had to go through when sharing files with iOS users using this method.
This update to Quick Share also brings a completely new design that is inspired by One UI 8.5, and users who are already using One UI 8.5 on their device will be familiar with the UI changes. Now, when you open Quick Share, you’ll be greeted with this:
As you can see, the pages bar at the bottom has changed its appearance to match One UI 8.5’s aesthetics. The settings menu didn’t show us AirDrop-related options.
When you open the images selection, the new selection UI comes, with One UI 8.5 aesthetics for the matched experience. Notice how the two buttons at the bottom have become translucent with blurring.
When you share a file, the device selection UI remains unchanged. However, when sharing is done, the background changes briefly to give users a visual indicator that sharing has succeeded.
When receiving files, you’ll get cards that point to individual files being downloaded to the receiver’s device.
This was done to make the experience more consistent with the rest of the One UI 8.5 experience found in the Galaxy S26 as stable release and some older devices as beta release, such as the Galaxy S25, which is currently at its eighth beta.
To update Quick Share, open Galaxy Store, navigate to Updates, and download all available updates.
