Well… that was a bit of a rollercoaster šŸŽ¢

First competition back after a few months off, and my first ever event in the USA, playing the Orlando Championship at Rio Pinar Country Club on the Florida Professional Golf Tour. Excited, nervous, rusty… pretty much the full set.

Shot a 79 (+7) and if I’m being totally honest, it could have been a lot worse. The shoulder is still only about 50% and there’s plenty of pain there, so swinging freely just isn’t happening yet. Long game was pretty appalling by my standards and I definitely didn’t hole anywhere near as many putts as I’d expect to.

That said, it was a really good experience on a tight, tricky golf course that doesn’t give you much for free. Currently sitting T24 and still a chance to improve with how bunched the leaderboard is.

Another 18 holes tomorrow… let’s see what we can scramble out of it šŸ‘Šā›³ļø

My BEST season ever!!!

#QuestforTheOpen this year has been a HUGE success, thank you for being a part of this journey!! It’s been so gratifying to see my game come on so much this year and to have it come out at the right moments! Still lots of work to do of course, but when isn’t there?

Thanks to @[email protected] too for enabling me to track this data! Best in the game šŸ‘Š

Looking forward to doing it all again next year, and maybe going one step further… who knows? All I know is, we must #trusttheprocess

So proud to have made it through Regional Qualifying for @[email protected]

This isn’t just a good round of golf — it’s the result of years of hard work and pushing through some mental battles.

Qualifying has always been a stumbling block. No matter the form, this stage has played on my mind — the pressure, the expectation, the frustration of falling short.

Today, that changed.

Shot 71 (-1) on a brutally tough day at @[email protected] — the wind was howling, the pins were tucked, and nothing came easy. But I stayed in it mentally and got the job done. And I’m currently leading the whole event!

I’m absolutely delighted… but this isn’t the end.

This is just the beginning.

Final Qualifying next — 36 holes, one day, and just 18 spots available.
One step away from The Open. Let’s bring it on. šŸ’Ŗ

Just wanted to say thank you for all the support for this year’s #QuestforTheOpen. I’ve played some good golf at some really cool events and I feel in the best shape I ever have heading into today!

I’ve had moments of doubt and moments of embarrassment but it’s always meant so much to have words of encouragement from those who have been following every step of my journey

Whatever happens over these 18 holes, I’ll never take that for granted. So let’s go out there, trust the process and see where it leads us!! ā¤ļø
