Recently finished 'Greta & Valdin', 2021, by Rebecca K Reilly. I almost DNF'd this but very glad I didn't. For me, the sibling characters developed like real family – initially they seemed self-absorbed and frustrating, but then I became deeply invested and needed things to be okay for them. The book became a comforting space where things could go wrong and the world didn't end.
my second book DIFFERENT WITH HIM is out 💖🏳️⚧️
a poetry collection about haphazard masculinities, belonging, and loving genders + genres in flux.
these poems are late-night texts for trans boys reinventing the world at 1 a.m., cis boys who could use reinvention, and the subcultures that shape us.

From classic inner-voice scenes to an overly dramatic debate at an anarchist convergence, this chapbook describes the ephemera of a transmasculine adolescence, the joys and failings of homosociality, and the experiences that negate and reinvent us.

This is one of the most delightfully absurd books I've ever read. Recommended for those who like books that play with form, break rules, go all meta, etc. Publisher (punctum books) is non-profit and open access, ebook is available as a free download.

A bookshop.
Ok, not just a bookshop. It's the QueerLit cafe/bar/bookshop.
I've already said that I'd pay for several books as an early Xmas present, but even then she can't decide which books not to buy.
