Ik lees graag graphic novels en trakteerde mezelf op "Spinning" van Tillie Walden. Oorspronkelijk voor een jonger publiek. Walden kreeg er de Eisner Award voor, en terecht :)
In de VS staat het op de lijst van banned books - boeken met LGBTQIA+ thema’s, verhalen van POC’s of politieke onderwerpen, juist de verhalen die andere perspectieven laten zien.
Dus: lees ze.

Nobody changes the world through office chit-chat. Right? 👀
Well, a friendly water cooler chat between UVic Libraries' Transgender Archives Metadata Librarian Michael Radmacher and Kula's first International Visiting Fellow @Lambo, head of the @tibosl at @tibhannover, eventually led to a transatlantic connection with the Queerbrarians — a European network of LGBTQIA+ library professionals.
The result: a growing international network of Queer & Trans+ colleagues who support each other's work to put LGBTQIA+ communities' voices at the center of how their histories are preserved and shared.

Wir sind mitten im Hands-on Lab "Handeln statt Hinnehmen" und überlegen was Leitung, Mitarbeitende und Nutzende bei queerfeindlichen Angriffen in unseren Bibliotheken tun können. In Team "Lila Seifenblasen" ging es um proaktive Schritte. #bibliocon25 #Queerbrarians
Zwei #Queerbrarians stellen ihr Projekt #QueerTreasury vor. Mit ihrem Engagement wollen sie die Lücke schließen, die durch die Abschaltung des Regenbogenportals der Bundesregierung entstanden ist und das bibliotheks- und informationswissenschaftlicher fundiert. Zwar wurde der letzte Stand des Regenbogenportals dank @SafeguardingResearch als Archiv gerettet, doch neue Infrastrukturen, die direkt aus der Community kommen, wie diese, retten nicht nur, sondern schaffen explizit Neues. #bibliocon2025
