I received NO FEWER THAN 15 MESSAGES ON NGL THAT WERE SO SWEET THAT THEY PRACTICALLY MOVED ME TO TEARS TODAY

I added my NGL link to my Instagram story highlights and several people messaged me on them telling me that I had inspired them and things of that nature.

Y’all, it was such precious, tiny behavior that I just about started sobbing. One of them was from a local queer poet saying that I had inspired them to join the local poetry scene. Another person said that I was “a true beacon of light in a very dark world”.

Hawthorne sent me some lovely messages, as well. I am immensely grateful for them.

If you don’t hear from me for the next couple of days, I am hyperventilating while I shoot videos documenting this influx of precious behavior 💛😭

Thom Gunn chronicled the AIDS years in poems that held both the leather bars and the deathbeds, insisting joy and grief share a stanza. Say their names like they matter.

Thomas Yates, a gymnastics coach from Greater Manchester, has given blood sixteen times since the rules finally let him. A body once called too dangerous to donate, now keeping strangers alive. A new FAIR survey of 8,744 male donors found 7.5% now identify as bisexual, gay, pansexual, queer, bicurious, or sexually fluid — up from 1.8% in 2014. Banned outright in the 1980s, lifted in 2011 with a twelve-month abstinence rule, cut to three months in 2017. In 2021 England moved to behavior-based screening — risk by what you do, not who you love. They called our veins a hazard. Now they are somebody's second chance.
