/tmp кончился — пишем виджет для qtile с предсказанием по тренду

qtile — тайловый оконный менеджер для Linux, целиком написанный на Python. Конфиг — тоже Python, с asyncio, доступом к procfs и вообще ко всему, что есть в системе. Я сижу на qtile уже почти 15 лет с одним и тем же конфигом, который потихоньку допиливаю, и что мне в нём нравится: панель оконного менеджера — удобное место для визуализации метрик, собранных из произвольных Python-скриптов.

The install of arch went well, but my config changes to qtile are not working now. I have to go over the update changes for arch as well. Back to trying to find more in depth documentation on qtile config changes.

Preparing to continue to reinstall arch linux with Qtile again. Learning how to use my computer strictly by terminal has been fun. The downside is learning what not to do when using new commands or deleting packages I didnt think I needed. Reinstall number 6 coming up.

Okay, I'll have to mention #hyprland in this list, since I finally adopted it this year. Previously I ran #qtile. Functionally they're similar in that they are both tiling window managers.

Qtile has a python config file, allowing to define complex combos.

Hyprland has a more limited config syntax, but a powerful hyprctl cli tool, allowing for similarly complex combos to happen via shell commands.

And hyprland is pretty with nice animations.
