No longer with us and I'll always miss him.
Whenever I was having a hard time he'd crawl up on my shoulder and sleep.
Always made me feel better.
Now at least I have that memory.
Saw my first fox in this area near #Hokah last Saturday night. I thought I was going to stop my wife's car for deer. That was unexpected.
Used to see them in North Alabama fairly often.
This website helped more than I thought it would. Losing a dog and a cat in the space of 5 months has been hard. They were old, had a good 15 years dog life and a good 18 years and 7 months cat life, so it wasn't unexpected but it still hurts so much.
And grief pulls in other sadness, like me missing another cat who passed that I never met except online.

It's still going on later today and tomorrow, but we already feel like we got our money's worth of admission for today.
Stopped to take this at an unused neighborhood soccer field because it seemed such a strange place for it. I'm guessing there's a huge underground network to somewhere else for their food and supplies?
I have no interests in ants, really. But the Mastodon user @futurebird has a passion for them that's interesting.
