Prompted by a conversation I had on here earlier and recently IRL at #PyConUS and at DjangoCon Europe.
I wanted to share some tips I give to junior developers.
✅ Look local first.
Easier to land, and you get mentored in person. Chase remote later.
✅ Be tech agnostic.
Two years with a stack you don't love beats another year of no offers.
✅ Reverse engineer your job search. Target companies that already employ juniors and reach out direct.

Every #OpenSource project is experiencing approximately this volume. During #PyConUS I shared that the Python Security Response Team is experiencing 4X the number of reports and advisories compared to last year, graph included in reply.
Some news I'm excited to finally share...
@foxleytalent is SPONSORING DjangoCon US again this year.
That's 4 years running now. 🦄🦊🇺🇲
To go with this announcement, I've written a blog post about why I keep sponsoring and attending conferences.

May Status Update: May was dominated by #PyConUS, where the BeeWare team ran another successful sprint, resulting in a number of improvements - many from first time contributors.
