πŸ’‘ AI Track Spotlight:
What if #AI could make #Python education more personalized, accessible, and inclusive? At #PyConUS 2026, Sonny Mupfuni explores exactly that in "AI-Powered Python Education: Towards Adaptive and Inclusive Learning."

This is a magical moment for me... the Cabo card game has been mentioned in a PyCon promo post!

I've been teaching people Cabo since my first PyCon US and I've met SO many people from spreading this card game during PyCon.

I very much look forward to teaching Cabo (and watching others teach it I hope) at #PyConUS this year.

First PyCon US. Hotel lobby. A card game I'd never heard of.

Trey Hunner pulled me in, taught me #Cabo, and I won three rounds in a row.

The hotel lobby at PyCon US has its own lore. It starts the moment you check in.

Building Production Grade ETL Pipelines in Python with Apache Airflow

Every data engineering project starts with a simple Python script. Maybe it pulls data from an API, cleans it up, … Presented by: Bhavani Ravi

PyCon US 2026

Just got my ticket to #PyConUS. I’m excited.

Last year was my first PyConUS. I hardly went to any talks; I mostly spent my time in the hallway. For me, a conference is about connecting with people. Being there in person is pure gold.

The other thing I absolutely loved last year was the number of education nerds. The Education Summit was fantastic. It was great to be able to pick the brains of so many fantastic teachers.

I’m really looking forward to this year’s event.

#PyConUS is where I get see my friends who live in my phone face to face! Let me know if you plan on being there so I know who I can look forward to seeing!
@treyhunner
<-- Me peeking at this thread because I will also be at #PyConUS 2026

I'm getting an early start on my personal "list of folks in the fediverse who will be at @pycon this year".

If you'll be at #PyConUS and would like to run into each other, πŸ‘‹ reply (or favorite this post or something else that indicates "yes").

I love the fact that we're at the "Where are we gonna have the game nights?" part of the #PyConUS planning!

(This is not something handled by the organizers of @pycon but by some of the attendees. With that, the conference chair is contributing to the conversation and will, hopefully, be playing with us.)

You want to meet Trey in person. You want to meet Ned in person. They're both great! (And Trey runs fun card game nights in hotel lobbies!)

If you want to meet me, you too can come to #PyConUS in Long Beach where I'll be hanging out with a couple of thousand Pythonistas having an amazing time in Long Beach.

Bonus, there's a bunch of us going to the Dodgers game on Wed. before the conference truly kicks off and the Angels game Monday after the first day of sprints! Come join the fun!
