For everyone else, thereโ€™s a #pyconau instead ;)

Hands down New Zealand has the best (meat) pies on the planet, but the Aussies have invented the Traveller and Iโ€™m beginning to think we canโ€™t be complacent on our pie game. #PyConAU #PieCon

Commending @pyconau for a very neurodiverse (at least to me) friendly way of doing an application. Would love to see this format with job applications too! #PyConAu

It's still 1 April AOE, which means you can still secure your #pyconau ticket with complimetary Kiwi PyCon West Island benefits!

April fools aside, the registration gift is legit!

Let someone else know how โ€œcrash early, crash oftenโ€ contract driven development can avoid spending a third of your time in a debugger trying to solve problems caused by crash avoidance.

Bit late to submit a pitch for #PyConAU, but maybe itโ€™s more of a Java and C# thing in any case.

In my latest blog post from #pyconau I go behind the scenes to share how we form a conference schedule from all the talks that have been submitted.

The program review committee really has their work cut out for them this year (thank you!) - we exceeded every single target I could have imagined! ๐Ÿš€

So. This is how we select the talks that get accepted to the conference! ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

We had a phenomenal response to CFP this year. Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal to be a part of the conference in August.

It takes a lot of time and effort to get through all your awesome session submissions.

So while we take the time to review each and everyone of them, this post goes behind the scenes to explain how the program review committee works to select talks for #PyConAU 2026.
