Matt Hardy 3.11 for WorkgroupsToday's painful #Powershell lesson. Running #pwsh in #VSCode. There's two type of #autocomplete in play. If you want to stop a transcript and after typing stop- it might helpfully fill in the rest of 'stop-transcript' in grey. Then to complete that you must press the right arrow key. If instead you press tab, then a different autocomplete takes over and suggests stop-computer.
This lesson is more thorough if you happen to press enter really quickly before you see that it's pulled a bait and switch on you.
And even more thorough if you happen to be remoted into a server that everyone one else uses.
Also learned that you don't need to "use the -force" if using remote Powershell and no-one else is logged in.
Thankfully was able to get back into the iLO and restart the server quite swiftly but now comes the apology tour.
