This video of a #Police #pursuit of armed robbers in #Manchester NW #England is from the early #1990s , not the 1980s!

For all the whining of the gammons, Britain back then was a *lot* more lawless and chaotic than today - there was at least one near miss between the suspects vehicle and a member of the public (also driving a #Rover !) , its lucky no one got hurt especially when the pursuit went down the back lanes (although things like this were common enough in some areas that folk knew to keep well clear when they heard the two tone horns)

Maybe an unusual choice of getaway vehicle, but Rovers lacked security and were easily nicked (incidentally the Police also seem to be in similar cars)
