チートス マルゲリータピザ味

先日、近所のスーパーにバナナなどを買いに行った際、通りがかった棚に並んでいて目に留まったのはフリトレーのチートスでした。フリトレーについては以前クリスピーポテト パクチー味の時にちょっと触れたので気になったというのもあるのですが、それよりもこれが「マルゲリータピザ味」だというところに引っかかりました。

ピッツァ・マルゲリータと言えばトマトソースにモッツァレラとバジルがのったナポリピッツァですが、それをチートスにすると一体どうなるのか、なかなか想像できませんでした。チートスといえばチェダーチーズの濃厚な味の印象が強く、マルゲリータのようなシンプルな味をどう再現しているのか、好奇心から購入してしまいました。

実際に食べてみると、不思議なことにしっかりとマルゲリータのイメージが浮かんできます。トマトソースの酸味やモッツァレラの風味とバジルのほのかな香りがして、普通のチーズ味よりも若干薄味ではないかと思いますが、なかなか美味しいです。

しかし、このマルゲリータピザ味はパッケージに「数量限定」と書かれており、チートスの商品ウェブページにも掲載されていないので、気になる人は見つけ次第購入しておいたほうがいいかもしれません。なお、限定商品のところにはすでに販売終了となったチートスが60種類以上も載っているのですが、これまでにこれほど多くのフレーバーがあったということに驚きました。このマルゲリータピザ味もいずれここに加えられるのでしょう。
