@jtb @elduvelle Then websites will be obscured by a stack of several cookie popups which we will have to program into Ublock Origin and then EU regime bans Ublock Origin and then we pronounce the EU regime banned and punish the EU regime by mass consumer boycott (DIY, repairing, recycling, upcycling and secondhand buying instead of new buying to reduce taxes and punish the regime financially)?

I think it took the invention of powered ships and even airplanes to tour the world and collect up all the books.

It wasn't until year 1954, early in February, someone came up with a global equation of the human brain and #punishment and #selfharm

Across all geographic space, time periods. Flaw in the human #brain

The 1954 Equation

February 28, 1954: "Most people can't stand up for their convictions, because the majority of people might not be doing it. See, everybody's not doing it, so it must be wrong. And since everybody is doing it, it must be right. So a sort of numerical interpretation of what's right. But I'm here to say to you this morning that some things are right and some things are wrong. Eternally so, absolutely so. It's wrong to hate. It always has been wrong and it always will be wrong. It's wrong in America, it's wrong in Germany, it's wrong in Russia, it's wrong in China. It was wrong in 2000 B.C., and it's wrong in 1954 A.D. It always has been wrong, and it always will be wrong." - Martin Luther King Jr.

"For the person who hates, the beautiful becomes ugly and the ugly becomes beautiful. For the person who hates, the good becomes bad and the bad becomes good. For the person who hates, the true becomes false and the false becomes true. That's what hate does. You can't see right. The symbol of objectivity is lost." - Martin Luther King Jr.

Sodom and Gomorrah, Henry Ossawa Turner, 1920

idk I saw this without knowing the title and liked it because of the way the person behind the others seemed to be made of light, I think that's amazing. A ghost is joining them, or an angel.

Now I know the title and know that that must be Lot's wife, turned into a pillar of salt. A ghost would make more sense, why turn someone into a pillar of salt? that is an absurd punishment for turning around. To me. What happens if they need salt? Do they use Mom. How much was salt worth in those days, maybe that would be like turning them into gold, frankincense and myrrh? Don't turn around or I'll turn you into a pile of loaves and fishes.

goodnight. ✨

A quotation from Mark Twain

Laws are coldly reasoned out and established upon what the lawmakers believe to be a basis of right. But customs are not. Customs are not enacted, they grow gradually up, imperceptibly and unconsciously, like an oak from its seed. In the fullness of their strength they can stand up straight in front of a world of argument and reasoning and yield not an inch.

A quotation from Thomas More

It seems to me a very unjust thing to take away a man’s life for a little money, for nothing in the world can be of equal value with a man’s life: and if it be said, “that it is not for the money that one suffers, but for his breaking the law,” I must say, extreme justice is an extreme injury: for we ought not to approve of those terrible laws that make the smallest offences capital, nor of that opinion of the Stoics that makes all crimes equal; as if there were no difference to be made between the killing a man and the taking his purse, between which, if we examine things impartially, there is no likeness nor proportion.

B.C. biologist disciplined for 'hunting' caribou after shooting clips to collect hair for DNA samples
The definition of 'hunting' is at the centre of a ruling from B.C.'s Environmental Appeal Board which upheld a decision to punish a wildlife biologist for his actions toward an endangered caribou herd he is studying in northern B.C.
