Ten Years of Tears in Pride
Ten years on from the Pulse Nightclub Massacre, the deadliest mass shooting in the US at the time and the deadliest single instance of anti-queer violence in the US. And now we’re in a slow erasure of queer culture and existence. But this year’s pride is showing grit, strength, and defiance.
Stay strong, stay proud, and remember who we lost so we lose no one else ever again.
And sorry for being late; I lost power wifi during from a storm on Wednesday and only just got power back yesterday.

Excerpt from Lin-Manuel's sonnet, delivered at the Tony's, hours after the #Pulse Massacre 06/12
This show is proof that history remembers,
We live through times when hate and fear seem stronger.
We rise and fall and light from dying embers,
Remembrances that hope and love last longer.
And love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love:
Cannot be killed or swept aside!
I sing Vanessa’s symphony, Eliza tells her story;
Now fill the world with music, love and pride.
