How fabulous are these special hardback, clothbound Puffin editions of classic books for younger readers??? Also nice to see it isn't just classics from half a century ago but more modern favourites too.

I enjoyed this Dickensian tale set in an alternate timeline and look forward to reading more in the lengthy series set in the same world. Whilst I loved many similar Puffin books as a child, this was one I read for the first time as an adult and a most enjoyable diversion from the grim news that surrounds us.

Der britische Verlag Puffin Books will in einer Neuauflage der Kinderbücher von Roald Dahl beleidigende und anstößige Beschreibungen abmildern oder ganz entfernen. Der britisch-indische Autor Salman Rushdie sieht darin Zensur, und kritisierte die Entscheidung auf Twitter scharf.
