Hi Friends!

I'm part of a new project with lots of rad #archivists, #OralHistorians, #publicHistorians, and others:

The Southern Memory Workers Collaborative

The central idea is that our #movements need #memoryworkers now more than ever. However, the barriers to learning the skills of #archival science, #oralhistory, and related fields remain significant, especially in the #Southern U.S.

We're looking for ways to increase capacity in the region.

Hey, #DecorativeArts folks and #PublicHistorians : Looking for an excuse to come to Athens, Georgia, when it's probably warmer here than wherever you live? Our 12th Henry D. Green Symposium of the Decorative Arts is taking registrations through January 15 and is a delightful opportunity to hear papers on all kinds of topics and to mix and mingle with other folks who enjoy this kind of thing. Visit http://georgiamuseum.org/greensymposium for registration information, full schedule and more.

I'm looking for #MuseumWorkers #archivists #Curators #PublicHistorians and #CollectionsManagers and anything related. Loved that community on the old site and looking to find some folks to follow. I work at a small historical society and "wear many hats." I don't contribute a lot to the discussion but I love to keep up with new ideas, strategies, museum jokes, and solidarity / general morale improvements. πŸ₯°πŸ€“πŸ’•
