just updated my profile with minor changes...

such as linking to https://ahoxus.org/~cregox#ssl instead of // or http and a comment "non ssl on purpose"... will add next a ssl hash link on the bottom linking to the top "did you miss the top warning?" 🤣

but anyway, i started this post to #comment on why #ahoxus led to no posts?! pretty sure i did post it at least once.

in any case, ahoxus.org houses all my projects and the home page needs to get seriously revamped into gemini style.

here i wanted to name a few of my hustles: #land #paradise #uproot #aloze #abotz #achoz #laundry and the newest one probably here named for the first time #webhome = for name server, basic #tilde hosting, email, and #fediverse of course.

also, a self public/transparent reminder: i hate how content doesn't get properly versioned, like #writefreely, pleroma profile editing, and hate how pleroma still doesn't work without javascript (as far as i can tell).

i usually go by my birth name, still (c+aue) and i talk on behalf of ahoxus.

i have witnessed many world improvements since before the internet and now i will to faund* (find or found, a recurrent quest of mine) next a world society with basically the same goals as yours.

in practice, i will find a few people in this planet willing to live and work together daily for maintaining a good life for us and an example to the whole world.

in the attached screenshot, i highlight what, thus, seem to me as the single biggest internet issue today:

the internet society promoting non free software.

can you see the importance of this logical failure?!

if you can, please just remove those! we can have as many unofficial communication channels as we want, but to use any official one, we need to pay attention to what we do! emails and fediverse give good examples of free software around them (your website should also get freed, by the way, but perhaps even rms fails to see that).

if you can not, we may stop this communication here.

less than 2 weeks ago, on a friday, i started to develop yet another side project: ahoxus.org/laundry after getting inspiration from a tiktok about laundromats (among many other life developments).

yesterday i went to the streets (mostly inside the vreal town's university, utad) searching for support to this and the whole ahoxus project. and i took many notes elsewhere, in portuguese, which i shall eventually translate back here somehow...

today i wanted to do the same as yesterday, but my quest ended much earlier!

for more context,

last friday (exactly 1 week after the beginning in the laundry quest, if i made no miscalculations) i got a contract proposition in which we would pay 1500 euros for 3 months of dedicated services to build the business plan which we could use for moving the laundromat project forward with perspective partners *and* applying for sponsors...

so today i went first to "domus institute" to ask for legal advice on this contract proposition. they only re-enforced what i heard yesterday: look for a lawyer, portugal doesn't seem to offer any free or low cost labor (such as internships from university students) for such minor work that we might need.

then i went to a second lawyer, the cheapest in the area i've met previously. he would charge 60 EUR to do the work, with some room for small revisions.

finally i went to #nervir (as advised by fernando, my beloved land owner partner), an association with school formation around law topics and could finally talk with someone, fatima, who could help! not only that, they offer the same services as the expensive start pme but for free, in association with the government groups.

(i also saw an ad there for 4inova.pt which i still haven't entered to see.)

so, next, i will sign up as an unemployed person in the government (iefp) so we can later apply to the programs. then we will finally constitute the ahoxus organisation. which will also allow us to get do funding and open some internships for the university.

(believe me, all these words might sound like a lot, but they come as a simple result of much work and life enjoyment, which includes all the downsides on the way.)
