90% of my #careercoach and #psychologist's replies are:
"Well but how do *you* feel about it?"
"Practice reflecting on situations where you felt inadequate, notice when old feelings come up and why. Do positive #selftalk."
"That is quite common."
"That seems like a reasonable way to handle such a situation."
It is not useless. It is surprisingly powerful to be told by another #human that what one is going through is well within the breadth of human experience. #astrodon #AcademicChatter
