Every character in Lloyd Alexander's Prydain Chronicles is named after someone in Welsh folklore, though often they're very different. For example, Fflewddur Fflam and Eddilig were warriors of King Arthur, while Gwrgi (Gurgi) and Henwen were Arthur's enemies (despite being heroes in the Prydain Chronicles).
