📡 DX-Wetter KW 15/2026: Ruhiges Fenster vor dem Sturm

Die Woche startet mit Sturmausläufern (A=18, K=4), beruhigt sich aber deutlich. Ab Dienstag ein ruhiges DX-Fenster (Ap 4-7) bis Freitag, dann kräftiger Sturm am 18. April (Ap 48, G2-G3). SFI auf 94 eingebrochen.

Propagation so-so, but Atlantic 2000 Radio should be well audible here on Saturday

Radio Atlantic 2000 International is scheduled to transmit on 6070 and 9670 kHz (via Channel 292 in Rohrbach, Germany) on Saturday, April 11, from 08:00 to 09:00 UTC.

6070 kHz should be of at least some use in my place (northwestern Germany), while the 9670 kHz often doesn’t come in well here, possibly because Rohrbach isn’t far enough from here.

The KP index is said to be no problem, currently. On the other hand, the solar flux doesn’t seem to offer too many opportunities this weekend.

I might give DX a try anyway, but safer bets like Atlantic 2000 look like a nice consolation prize on the radio dial, if little else works.

Weird (cool) thing spotted today.
I’d noticed one of my sundews (Drosera binata) was a bit overwhelmed by the sphagnum moss it was growing in, with leaves still below the surface of the moss.
I removed the top growth of the moss and found that the leaves had started growing new plantlets from the ends.
I’d not seen that before with Sundews.
Excellent bit of vegetative propagation. New plants in new homes and old plant free from the moss.

Due to a water damage on the groundfloor, my setup for #propagation is a bit more improvised this year.
The stack with euroboxes in the utility room is for germination.
Germinated plants are moved under LED growlights inside or into the greenhouse.
Since we still have down to -10°C 14F in the night, there are heat mats set to keep the reused mushroom punnets with seedlings above 3°C.
Plants without need for heating will move to the wallpaper table.
