Fuck #life. Fuck life itself. These words, which may seem like a downer or a #cry for help, to me reflect actual awareness in the midst of a very unphilosophical age instead. The world #leaders shaping our experience, beholden to life and fully directed by its appetites, are abusing women in private islands, bombing schoolgirls in near eastern countries and performing roman salutes in front of webcams connected to agentic computer workstations. These people do so, for no other reason but being full of life. They don't resist, direct, or question any of its #impulses, rather they always give them free reign. These people are the true ambassadors of life in all its cruelty, its pointless evils.

But, as with all things in this world, their #might is only apparent. Because the end of life is no choice of ours, and given enough #time, we're all bound to meet it. If there's an afterlife or mere vacuum waiting for us, that's a question making little practical difference: these people can't take their profit margins or tech corpos for the trip. Even the knowledge of #science is useless once we're past the wordly veil. #death is the true subversive force in this world... because its honesty can't be disputed, and with fierce logic all #status distinctions, social #classes and #priviledges are undone by it. While the truth of death can be avoided, it can never be denied.

It is way easier to stop taking planes, being veg·gie·an, stop contributing to tourism, stop buying first-hand cloths and goods… when you already did all of that earlier in your life.

They All Signed the “Harper’s” Letter. Where Are They Now? | The Nation https://www.thenation.com/article/society/harpers-letter-free-speech-trump/

That is an excellent question. And the answer is right in the picture below 👇

Basically, they are simply living entranched in their place of #priviledges and confusing #FreedomOfSpeech with the liberty of saying anything without having to face consequences nor being held accountable. They want the power, not the #responsibilities And anyone reminding them of that is considered an enemy.

They All Signed the “Harper’s” Letter. Where Are They Now?

Many of those who were loudest in denouncing cancel culture then are now curiously silent in the face of Donald Trump’s assaults on free speech.

@Julia_Schmeer

There is soo much to this question, it still has me thinking a lot. (Thanks! )

Its also about stating ones needs. and anticipating possible needs of others.
And checking ones #priviledges , thinking: what if my guest doesn't have those?

Like: yes sure you can stay at my place.
But its not wheelchair-accessible.
And we dont protect against airborne viruses.
