Juist de #VVD zorgt er al decennia voor dat die prikkels niet bestaan. We weten al 20 jaar dat dit probleem bestaat. Hoe lang is het al geleden dat #SafeHarbour, #PrivacyShield etc juridisch sneuvelden? Maar de #VVD negeerde het. 'De markt' moest niet verstoord worden.

Italy's #PrivacyShield law wants #DNS providers in #Italy to block dubiously-reported piracy domains, but seems to completely miss the fact that DNS and the internet are global systems.
There's always going to be another DNS provider outside of Italy that Italy can't regulate. The Italian pirates will just use that. Duh.
It'd be like trying to stop ocean-going pirates of old by... draining the ocean so their boats don't float. It just doesn't work that way.

So it seems like we'll have a #Schrems III next year which, if things stay as they are, will invalidate the obviously inadequate adequacy agreement that could/should have been called #PrivacyShield II (or Safe Harbor III) as it's essentially a copy paste of the previous one(s).
