I have lots of ways that I seek to protect my personal #privacy. Most very basic and effective, but some methods are extraordinary.

What things do you do to protect your online and offline privacy? I'm always glad to be taught.

Misguided people, and law enforcement, think #Privacy is just for those wanting to avoid accountability.
Yet, judges and #police officers and #politicians seek legislation to enhance privacy for themselves and their families.

We should all have it, expect it, and want privacy for the the same reason: personal protection and peace of mind, and control of our own reputations.

I'll tell you if I want you to know.

But privacy is NOT a crime.

Surprising how some people who are so adamant about online #privacy are then so careless with physical #offline privacy. Understand, the two are intractably linked.
Privacy is NOT a Crime.

US College Students: are you planning to move soon?
You'll probably want to forward your #USMail at moversguide.usps.com.
But if you check this box, its game over for your #privacy. Your new address will be all over the #internet.
Moving is a chance to claw back some of your #privacy. Understand that #USPO is monetizing you to corporate interests under the guise of "convenience."
Privacy is not a crime.

Do you use #Google Wallet? You are giving #Google direct access to your #CreditCard transactions. They use this data in lots of ways, including to record "conversions" and learning your "buyer intent" signals in Google Ads. Its just another way they can track you under the guise of convenience.
I'm not a #privacy absolutist, but why hand them every single detail of your life? Try spending cash some time. Its good old #retro fun.

If you are moving, you have an opportunity to claw back a little privacy. The mistake most Americans make when they move is filling out out a permanent change of address order with the Post Office. Do that, and watch your new address appear everywhere on the internet. Instead, use a temporary 6 month forwarding order that expires. Your new address remains private. #privacy
