I can't wait for this shit show... excuse my French but I drive a #PriusC and every encounter with a #Tesla has been just awful. Tesla drivers think they own the road. Yesterday, I got to an intersection and as I got moving towards the speed limit of 35mph, I glanced over to find a Tesla on my right at full send to pass me before their lane ended and they had to merge into mine. Like dude! I'm going 35, the limit is 35, if you pass me, good for you but don't put me at risk! Wait your turn!

My #PriusC #battery box dry fit went well. The spare tire needs a little side box thing to keep it around. There's lots of space for other stuff. #toyota uses these very large foam pieces over the tire. Lots of wasted space in that foam.

The crazy #priusC #range #extender LOL #lifepo4 battery project reaches a milestone! Yippee 😁!

It's a thing now. No longer a #CAD pie in the sky. It's an actual pile of #Lifepo4 cells, #BMS-es, #cables, etc. I can't back-off now!

The receiver is installed on the rear driver side column. It's right forward of that rear break light. You just need to be careful removing the plastic cover. It comes with several clips. I missed one and dropped it right under the rear column. Such is #priusC life.

I can't believe that #toyota did this. This #priusC #TPMS and #sks system could become a big issue. I think that because I live in Washington State, a rainy state, that's why it corroded lightly enough. In the #humid mornings it works, in the #dry afternoon it doesn't. It was annoying for a good 3 months. Worst of all, when dropping off the kids at school, they slam the door next to the column where the receiver is installed. That makes it such that the car starts beeping. But simple fix.

Yes! Oh yes! May God make #putin's ass itch for the rest of the year! I'm so happy! I want to share. First, the #TPMS and SKS system share the same #receiver. Thus, flat tire and can't see keys can be the same issue.

The fix: see those solder joints around the screw hole on the top left? Yeah those rust enough to not conduct sometimes...wet is good, dry is bad. Sand those a little and put it back together. It works.

I'm not going to do anything special here. I'm just going to build a disconnectable 3 section pack and I'll connect it downstream of the coulumb counter but upstream of the precharge and full power relays. This way, the #toyota #priusC computer won't know anything about the battery but will get feed back from the normal battery. The secondary battery comes with 3 really nice overlapping BMSes. That will protect it from cold, heat and over charge/discharge. Cuz, screw the original battery 😂.

Anyhoo, I found that my #priusC orange plug does two things...#unplugs a little jumper that tells the #computer 'hey, he plug is in", and also breaks up the pack in two. The kids know how to do the first thing..... So #aliexpress took my freakout search for solutions to my #battery problems and my other life #obsessions and extrapolated accordingly.....one thing is definitely not like the others. I can't remember the last time I searched for a trap on dildo to fix my battery, but this might do.
