These "but the accent!" discussions can be particularly baffling for people whose own accent is never correct in English-first movies (do not tell me that Dafne Keen [Logan 2017] was brought up in Mexico when her accent is from Spain, thanks), and if we comment on that, we're told that it's unimportant, it's not like "the audience" will notice, or some such.

It's always so interesting to me, as someone who watched it well before I was fluent in English--never mind being able to tell accents apart--to see native English speakers' reactions to the movie.
