Bull returns to scoring after 506 days: “I missed this feeling so much.” And the fans dedicate him a banner.
His return to the field and now also his first goal. Edoardo Bove has put another piece in his “new” career after December 1, 2024, when during a Fiorentina–Inter match he suddenly collapsed, raising fears of the worst. The former Roma midfielder has scored 506 days since his last time scoring. He did so during Watford–Wrexham, which ended 3-1, with Bove scoring the 3-1 goal to close out the match.
The midfielder then shared his joy on social media, where he posted a photo of his celebration accompanied by the words: “How much I missed this feeling.” Bove hadn’t scored since October 27, 2024, when in the match between Fiorentina and Roma he scored the momentary 4-1 goal, about two months before he collapsed on the field in Fiorentina-Inter. At the end of the match, the fans also dedicated him a banner that read: “Even if you leave Rome, you will not be alone.”
Bove returned to the field after the episode with the Watford jersey in the 32nd round of the Championship, away against Preston entering in the 86th minute. Born in 2002, Bove moved to England where, unlike what happens in Italy, it is allowed for him to continue playing at a high level even with a subcutaneous defibrillator. At Watford he signed a contract until 2031. He has not yet played as a starter since February 24, but he has always been substituted until he scored his first goal yesterday, March 17.
Italian law does not allow him to engage in competitive activity with the device in question. In England, however, it is possible. But why? In Italy, direct responsibility lies with the sports doctor who grants suitability. In England, however, Bove signed a statement in which he assumes all the risks. The responsibility is only his.

Just spent a great afternoon at the Harris Museum in Preston enjoying the wide range of local artists (all living/working within 5 miles of the museum) on show at the Preston Open.
A wonderful range of work from the utterly brilliant to the hilariously inept (but charming), as well as some really talented artists & insightful works.
A great couple of hours which I would thoroughly recommend for anyone in the area.
