But also, they assumed to know better and failed.

I can't use that cream cos I had issues, and for some odd reason the cream I can use, which doesn't have any controlled or dangerous stuff in it, is only available on prescription.

It's annoying cos I have to use it as soap, so I use a lot of it.

And this is where I was pointing out the weirdness of the NHS's prescription system. I get antibiotics & steroidal stuff needs to be script only (controlled drug, opiates. addictive stuff, dangerous stuff, etc), although I'd argue that some creams should be easier to get.

Getting a cream for a staph infection just before a flight at short notice was a total nightmare and I doubt the small amount of antibiotics in the cream would cause issues with most people? And I'd had that before, but they couldn't re-issue a past script on 111. What IS the point of that system?

But random stuff that has OTC ingredients in still script only here.
