Part 1 : Preliminary Drawing

Below I will be detailing the beginning stages of the Ghost Rider Painting (Clayton Crain's Original Artpiece) which I have attempted to imitate in Oils. The preliminary drawing was done on tracing paper first so that any mistakes or reworking could be done without worrying about effecting the actual final surface to be painted on (canvas board).

On to the second piece! Refining and adjusting the drawing before starting the paint layer here.. Unlike the preliminary drawing in charcoal pencil, Nero Wax Charcoal is used at this stage so I can draw over the shellac with ease.. Something I was reminded of in the first of these mixed media's..
