On Friday I opened a Sweet and Sour flavour Pot Noodle and saw something amazing ... it had TWO sachets of sauce in it! Amazing! I couldn't believe it! It was possibly the best Pot Noodle I'd ever had.

@europesays as a student I lived on pot noodles for years. Couldn’t afford a phone, laptop or fur coat and didn’t have PIP. But hey, the Daily Star digs out great examples. Laptops and mobile phones didn’t exist in the 70’s. Just as well, if they had I wouldn’t have been able to afford a beer or two in the student union. #potnoodle #dailystar #Labour #budget

For some reason I was curious about the history of the pot noodle instant noodles snack in the UK.
Introduced in the UK by Golden Wonder in 1977 (very punk rock) then bought by Unilever in 1995 who then later had to remove a series of TV adverts declaring it "the slag of all snacks".
Are we a post pot noodle culture now?
I think I was more incredulous towards flavoured instant mash.
