I bought a
#Belkin USB-C hub, that is functionally/spec-wise the same with my existing
#UGreen hub, but for 3x the price. I only did so bcos it had all its ports on one side, while the UGreen has em split on both sides - seems stupid enough a reason, but that's pretty nice if you wish to 3D print a dock for the
#SteamDeck or something like that and have the hub just slide in, with all of its ports accessible.
Anyway, when I received it, I was a lil off-put to discover that the permanently attached cable coming off of the hub is made of silicone, which is extremely fragile and prone to tearing, rather than something more durable and hardy
like a braided cable - the UGreen one I had was braided and has lasted me over 2 years and it still looks as flawless as when it arrived, meanwhile the new Belkin one arrived already with a bulge on the cable due to stress.
Fortunately, the shop was kind enough to let me return it for a refund. Normally, doing this through #Shopee, I'd get a free return label where I can drop it off at my local J&T, but that's no longer an option - they only work with
#Poslaju,
#FlashExpress, and Shopee's own
#SPX. I was pleasantly surprised tho that you don't even need to drop them off yourself now, since there's also an option for Shopee to pick it up for you for free - so I chose that. Pretty cool, but honestly very doable considering how these Shopee delivery folks are always coming to these neighbourhoods daily anyway to deliver packages - it wouldn't be hard to arrange for them to pickup a returning parcel as well.
