Figure drawing at Frank Bette in Alameda, with the usuals. Model is Leigh from BAMG.

I love hanging with Leigh, she is genuine, chatty, brings her own furniture, props, and clothing swaps.

Didn’t do my best today; the markers are all getting dry (you can apparently revive alcohol markers with .. alcohol, or refill them with copic inks), and my go to posca needs refill or something too. The new posca isn’t working well. Had some luck with the acrylic markers but wasn’t doing great on proportion.

Back to back drawing days, Monday night at Frank Bette with Norman and the crew (2/5/10/20 minute progression), Tuesday gesture lunch at work with Kawena and folks from different teams (1/2/5 minute blocks)

Not many folks came out tonight to Monday figure drawing. 5 when it’s usually 8 to 10. Sven says it takes 10 people to break even.

A little out of practice, and also loaned out my usual markers (including the big white posca) to a scout for their merit badge work.

So I had only warm tone markers, and focused on trying to use the new set of acrylic markers

I have been trying to do things in the evening with my hands that aren't doomscrolling and/or being on late work calls. Behold, paint markers and pebbles! This is something I find difficult because I have v poor fine motor control and consistency with my physical control but it has been really rewarding to concentrate on in a low stakes way. Plus, the colours come out so deep and satisfying.
