From my archive: our family cat resting on her scratching post.
For a tabby cat, she always had very plush fur.
This was made with an old Porst Carena Sport 126 and a flash cube, self-scanned from negative and converted with Negadoctor in Darktable

And for reference, here are the other two silver and black versions of the UV Topcor 53mm lenses. The one on the right is the intermediary model, with a slit instead of a j slot, and the left has the late "solid" tabs. The lens release button is also different. Optical design appears to be the same for all 3 versions of the lens.

With the lens removed from the Wink S Mirror camera, the mount on the lens side reveals the earliest type of lens mount, with the retaining tabs having a J slot, possibly to apply some pressure on the opening tabs on the camera mount side. I've only seen this J slot on the 53mm, but I suppose an early 35mm or 100mm lens from 1963 would have the same.

Uses a seikosha leaf shutter like the Uni.

The first Topcon camera using UV Topcor interchangeable lenses was the Wink S Mirror. This was based on the Topcon Wink E mirror (Beseler Topconette in the US), the E for "electric eye", a selenium cell to meter light.

The 1962 Wink E had fixed lens whereas the 1963 Wink S had 3 lenses available: 53mm f2, 35mm f3.5 and 100mm f4. notice the large selenium meter in front of the pentaprism.

Also sold as the Porst Reflex S.

Porst, the German photo retailer had some fast glass at decent prices, in 1979. For example, here is a 35mm wide angle (weit winkel) with a very fast f1.8 aperture. 279 deutschemark with a 3 year warranty. At the time a $ was about 1.8 DM, if I'm not mistaken, so that is pretty competitive.

I have this lens in M42 mount, so can use it on many cameras.

I'd be interested in buying some Porst catalogs from the 80s if anybody has some.

@timdesuyo i found a picture of an ozunon 24mm 3.5, pretty much the spitting image of the Porst. This pretty much confirms the manufacturer. Thanks for brainstorming with me and helping me get to an answer

This is a #lens branded Porst, a german photo retailer & mail order company that no longer exists. I’m hoping that someone might have some insight on who might have manufactured this lens. It is a 24mm f3.5: multi coated, with a #Fujica AX mount, for #porst CR1 CR3 CR5 and CR7 cameras, and fuji AX1, AX3, AX5 and STX cameras. Says “lens japan” but not made by Fuji. Fuji had a 24mm 2.8. Porst had a few rebranded fuji like the 50mm 1.2.

Any idea who made this one? #photography #Germany #camera

Why do these cheap plastic cameras have so weird complex shutter mechanisms.
