Last week, WorldPop supported a regional workshop in Barbados with UNFPA, FCDO, ONS & CARICOM. Using tools like PopRF and DEGURBA, participants developed high-resolution population data to support planning, resilience, and development.

WorldPop visited the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), meeting with the Global Human Settlement Layer (GHSL), Demography, and Urban & Territorial Analysis teams.

We explored opportunities to improve comparability, reduce duplication, and strengthen harmonised global population and settlement data.
