In an audio player that handles instant cuts between songs instantly, no, it's just four repetitions of the initial guitar loop from Pretender which flow perfectly into the main song.
Which is, huh. Were they unsure about having that initial bit of solo guitar before any other instruments kick in? Is this some kind of Bonus If You Actually Listen To The Album? Is this, like, intentionally avant-garde on some level? (Totally could be, given some of their music β like, they're still a pop rock band with song lengths that never exceed 6-ish minutes, but on a first listen through their music so far, they've got some interesting stuff going on.)
(And yeah, listening to the actual album instead of on YouTube, I think I'm already picking up on new background instruments in a song that I've undoubtedly listened to, like, way too many times before, ahaha.)
