Pomham Rocks Lighthouse, 6/15/24.

The non-profit Friends of Pomham Rocks Lighthouse has done an amazing job restoring this lighthouse. They have paid very close attention to details, and whenever possible have matched the lighthouse’s original characteristics — even painting the interior rooms their original colors. We were able to climb up into the lantern room and crawl out to the gallery. The view is incredible (it helped that was a really beautiful day today). From the lighthouse you can see the Pomham Beacon, which is a cone-shaped daymark that was built around 1828. There is also a nice view of the Providence skyline.

I highly, highly recommend this tour! They typically do two tours each week throughout the summer months, and the cost is very reasonable. You can book at: https://pomhamrockslighthouse.org/tours/.
