There's not a lot of energy early, but it wakes up and ends with a sunny feel. A continuing theme, it improves with air & gets better the next day. Call it a perfect luncheon Claret. Xmas dinner wine! Drinking exceptionally well now, but I'm going to hold onto the other two bottles I have of this for several years. Dominant blueberry and blackberry on the nose and mid-palate, with a very structered peppery and tannic finish. A touch rough around the edges but stood up well to prime rib roast.
