I called my massive anything-to-do lists for #polyphasic adaptations BFLs, after the #BFG of course; and like id software, I shyly changed it to mean "Big Fat List" when people asked about it -- and then later went right back to Big Fuckin List because it's way more fun.

I still use BFLs though, & am currently making one for "Summer Unemployment Blues" which is why it's on my mind. This is the life-admin tool I pull out when shit is really tit-twistingly serious; so glad it's in my inventory.

After watching a @noboilerplate video by the wonderful @0atman I encountered that my natural but unusual #polyphasic sleep cycle has a name! Its called the "Everyman E1 with a late core". I had no idea! I always thought, that I'm just lacy - maybe it's just how I am 😺

if you feel tired very often, and can find a little bit of time in the afternoon to do it, try polyphasic sleep instead of coffee.

  • more refreshing
  • even less sleep required than with coffee, without health compromise (i am confidently willing to debate you on this!)
  • no addictive properties
  • effect does not diminish over time

POLYPHASIC SLEEP | Sleep Right, Live Well - Learn to nap

By using naps, polyphasic sleep schedules can reduce sleep time and/or improve sleep quality. A very unique lifestyle to consider.

In today's video I'm talking about my 2-month experiment sleeping only 5 hours a day with #Polyphasic #sleep

Has anyone who is bad at #naps managed to get good at naps?

I am a chronic #insomniac and late riser, I am trying to wake up earlier on a regular basis, and I might benefit from being able to take a short midday nap.

But howwww?

(Yes, I'm familiar with #delayedsleepphasedisorder and the concept of biphasic or #polyphasic sleep. I've been terminally online for 28 years, so please only reply from personal experience, thanks.)

Going into my 71st day of #polyphasic sleep. Spent my first part of the day getting reacquainted with the #fediverse, thanks to a colleague pointing out #okuna to me.

@jackdeeth

You joke, but as a kid I got really into #polyphasic sleep schedules with the goal of cutting the amount I sleep—think of all the exciting things I could have done! (or, back then, all the extra games I could have played)

It doesn't seem to work, long term, sadly—people tend to get sick and then crash and make up all the time they "saved" in less sleep

It's 1 am and my day just started. Good morning!

I'm on day 7 of adaptation to a #polyphasic sleep schedule (triphasic), and let me tell you holy shit am I tired rn.
