"Auf Wiedersehen", or "Auf Wiederseh'n, Sweetheart", is a song written by #German composer Eberhard Storch around 1950. Storch wrote the song in the hospital for his wife Maria as he was ill for a long time. It was originally sung in German by #RudiSchuricke and released on the 78 rpm record #Polydor 48 374 H in 1950. It should not be confused with the 1932 song Auf Wiedersehen, My Dear.

"I Started a Joke" is a song by the #BeeGees from their 1968 album #Idea, which was released as a single in December of that year in the United States. The song is the last Bee Gees single to feature #VinceMelouney's guitar work, as he left the band in early December after this song was released as a single. It was not released as a single in the United Kingdom, which saw a version released by Heath Hampstead under the #Polydor label.

Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, Mainstream, 1987 on Capitol

Third and last studio LP under the name Lloyd Cole and the Commotions, released by Polydor in the UK and Capitol in the US. Fared better in the UK than in the US, where it failed to chart.

One track produced by Stewart Copeland, the rest by Ian Stanley. Well worth a listen if you liked Rattlesnakes or other Lloyd Cole.

My copy—via Academy Records in NYC—is an Allied pressing with Specialty metalwork on purple Capitol labels (and the original custom inner liner).

This is a great sampler from Polydor. It’s the second volume of ‘20 Of Another Kind’ featuring The Jam, The Chords, The Headboys etc. Cleaned up beautifully. Must keep my eye out for the 1st volume. #vinyl #xp #polydor #NowPlaying
