The 18th Century Pollok House in Glasgow. Donated to the city in 1966, it's currently closed for renovations and is largely hidden by scaffolding. This photo was taken just before it closed in 2023, but it will reopen again once the work has been completed.

The entrance hall to Pollok House on the Southside of Glasgow. Pollok House was built in 1752, but this entrance hall was added by R. Rowand Anderson in 1890. This photograph was taken in 2024, before the house was closed for renovations.

Red Lodge in Pollok Country Park. This house appears on maps dating back to 1895, and prior to that, it's marked as the location of Inchloch Lodge Well. I really like the narrowness of this building.

Love this 'invisible' wall on the Burrell Collection in Pollok Park on the Southside of Glasgow. Designed in the 1970s and opened in 1983, the glass reflects the surrounding trees, while allowing as much light as possible into the building itself.

I love a pun business name, and this is a good one. It's on a coffee van outside the Burrell Collection in Pollok Park, home to the Glasgow City Council fold of prize-winning Highland cows.

A triceratops skull (or rather a replica of one) in the walled garden of Pollok Country House. This is one of a series of dinosaur bone sculptures hidden here amongst the trees and bushes, jist waiting for kids to discover them.

The 1750s bridge over the White Cart at Pollok Country House in Glasgow. I might well be wrong, but I think this makes it the oldest surviving bridge in the city.

Today's morning dog walk was in Pollok Park on the Southside of Glasgow, surrounded by beech trees looking stunning in their autumn colours.
