I'm pretty sure I'm one of the only political scientists who gets excited to get a manuscript review request. Here's to staying engaged and contributing to #PoliSciPedagogy & #SoTL ! π
Anticipating a FAQ in my @UMich_CRLT workshop on active learning in large classes. What's your advice, stories, resources on active learning in poor learning spaces (traditional auditoriums, fixed seating, narrow corridors, etc)? #podnetwork#AcademicChatter#poliscipedagogy#facdev@edutooters
Just wrapped up my semester teaching the Politics of Public Policy at #UMich 's #FordSchool. I couldn't have asked for better students. I expect they'll do great work, hopefully armed with more savvy & strategy about how to reach their policy goals in U.S. policy-making institutions. #poliscipedagogy
PS publishes some really high quality scholarship on #PoliSciPedagogy. Can't wait to read "Promoting Information Literacy and Visual Literacy Skills in Undergraduate Students Using Infographics" https://bit.ly/3hsPEKL

Update on "victory lap" last-day-of-class activity. I couldn't have been happier with how it went. I ended up using a gallery walk format (a first for me!). I'd love to hear how you all approach the last day of a class. #PoliSciPedagogy#academicmastodon#eddev#facdev
Wondering about how to use the last class of the semester? FWIW, I'm going to try out a "victory lap" activity/discussion, where students identify and acknowledge their accomplishments and growth over the last 16 weeks. You know, because grad school and transitions can leave you feeling insecure. #PoliSciPedagogy#higheredteaching#academicmastodon
