RadiojaneI'm still turning over the election results from Monday over in my head, but one thing I am not right now is comfortable. The CPC got over 40% of the popular vote running on a platform of policies very similar to the ones being enacted right now in the USA. Polievre was going to cut most funding of basic research in Canada. I can't even begin to explain how disasterous that would have been for Canada.

Tom SheppardAt the advance poll today it took about 15 minutes to get through with 10 people in front of me. There are 91(!) names on the ballot in #Polievre’s riding. One guy in line thought this was to thin the vote for PP. I’ve heard the opposite where it was designed to hide Bruce Fanjoy’s name. 🤷🏻♂️ SOMEONE is trying to circumvent democracy.
When folded, the ballot was so thick it hardly fit in the slot in the ballot box. The poll worker kept having to shake the box to get the votes to settle.
