Happy Summer! I've been busy lately, but I wanted to go back to my roots with these full pose sketches. :) These are inspired by Ken Sugimori's concept art for Pokemon, gens 1 & 2. I might take one of them further and do a colour Copic version... Can't decide which one!

I had forgotten how easy #Pokemon Blue can be, even compared to regular Yellow. Managed to beat it with most of my team only in their high 40s. Granted, I pumped a bunch of them with vitamins, but still.
Lv47 Persian (Catfish), Lv47 Seadra, Lv48 Parasect, Lv49 Clefable, Lv47 Rhydon, and Lv52 Articuno. And the Articuno didn't do much outside wreck Lance's dragons with 90% accurate Blizzard. Gen 1 be Gen 1.
I had never trained a #Rhydon, before. I had always ignored it due to its garbage special defense. But despite also being slow, it was one of my best monsters. I'll have to train one in Pokemon Legends Z-A if I can. (And, not evolve it into Rhyperior.)
Kanto Redrawn is amazing too! I've heard that some interiors were drawn too, but it looks like they weren't included in the final project.
